Wheel Hub
2026-07-06
Automotive wheel hubs are typically made of aluminum alloy. To achieve an aesthetically pleasing appearance and corrosion resistance, PCD (polycrystalline diamond) wheel‑hub tools are employed to produce a high‑gloss surface finish (sometimes followed by anodizing). The primary cutting tools consist of two types of radius turning tools: PCD brazed radius tools and PCD clamp‑type (indexable) radius tools for wheel‑hub machining, together with external turning tools and R1.2 mm indexable inserts.
