Roll Rib Milling Cutter

The clamped-structure roll rib cutting tool is primarily used for rib machining of rolls for large-diameter rebar (deformed steel bars). It consists of a clamped steel tool shank fitted with PCD, PCBN, or carbide inserts. The tool is available in both left-hand and right-hand versions. It is suitable for rib machining of rolls made of cemented carbide, cast iron, and high-speed steel, accommodating various sizes and specifications.

The PCD Full face roller groove bit is primarily suitable for rotary cutting of ribs on cemented carbide rolls, while the PCBN Full face roller groove bit is primarily suitable for rotary cutting of ribs on high-speed steel rolls. （PCBN Full face roller groove bit  can be provided.）

For larger roll ribs, the  roller groove bits  is generally made by brazing a PCD/PCBN blank onto a carbide body, followed by grinding.

For cast iron and high-speed steel rolls, cemented carbide roller groove bits are also frequently used for rib machining.
