PCD Milling

In the manufacturing of aircraft, a large number of flat surfaces, stepped surfaces, and functional holes are machined by milling. Solid carbide end mills — such as pineapple-style cutters — are the most commonly employed tools for such operations. PCD milling cutters are only adopted in certain specialized applications, such as the machining of ceramic materials and carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP).
