PCD end hoggers are suitable for equipment such as double-end milling machines, four-side planers, and edge banders. They are used for heavy-duty trimming and edge profiling of particleboard, medium-density fiberboard (MDF), and melamine-faced panels. These cutters are typically heavy and are often used in pairs with hydraulic sleeves, flanges, and other accessories. Their cutting edges usually feature a combination of long and short teeth.

PCD laminate flooring end hoggers are used to mill the transverse and longitudinal directions of pre-cut laminate flooring to specified dimensions, removing significant amounts of material from the locking profiles. Sometimes they also include chamfering functionality. This process represents the most material-intensive removal step in laminate flooring production.
